Dr. Martin Kaiser
Dr. Martin Kaiser is a partner in our finance practice and a member of our global securities and derivatives group (SDG). He is a securitisation specialist, focusing on advising banks and companies, particularly in relation to true sale transactions in respect of various asset classes, including auto loans, leases, consumer finance, NPL and trade receivables.

Dr. Tobias Krug
Dr. Tobias Krug is the managing partner of Ashurst Germany, a partner in the finance practice and a member of the securities and derivatives group (SDG). He specialises in structured finance and capital markets with a focus on securitised and OTC derivatives, hybrid and convertible bonds as well as banking regulatory aspects.
Tobias advises leading financial institutions in relation to structured products offerings, including in relation to a wide array of underlying reference assets such as equities, funds, commodities, commodity indices, foreign exchange, inflation and other rates, and across various product wrappers. He also is counsel to some of the leading debt funds and CLO managers in relation to secured and unsecured mid-cap financings in Germany.

Dr. Martin Bünning
Dr. Martin Bünning is a partner, tax advisor and heads our German tax team. Martin's practice focuses on tax advice for investors in real estate and other alternative investments (such as structuring of funds and individual and portfolio investments, including financing) as well as on tax structures for open-ended and closed funds. Martin also advises on private equity/venture capital matters (fund structures and mezzanine financings) and on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions. In addition, he counsels on tax issues in the financial industry related to securitizations, VAT and withholding taxes.
Martin also advises on general corporate tax issues (reorganisations, restructurings and consolidated tax groups) for domestic and international clients and has substantial experience in Shari'ah compliant structures for Islamic investors.
Dr. Sahra Demirbilek
Dr. Sahra Demirbilek is a senior associate in our finance practice and a member of our securities and derivatives group. Sahra is a securitisation specialist focusing on advising banks and companies, particularly in relation to true sale transactions in respect of various asset classes, including auto loans, leases, consumer finance, NPL and trade receivables.
Stephan Lehnen is an associate in our finance practice and a member of our securities and derivatives group. He is a securitisation specialist focusing on advising banks and companies, particularly in relation to true sale transactions in respect of various asset classes, including auto loans, leases, consumer finance, NPL and trade receivables.
Alexandra Heitmann is an associate in our finance practice and a member of our securities and derivatives group. She specialises in advising issuers and investment banks on international debt capital markets, derivatives and structured finance transactions with a focus on structured products. Alexandra's expertise covers the issuance and repurchase of structured securities and bonds as well as covered bonds (Pfandbriefe), structured bonds (including securitised derivatives), hybrid instruments, registered notes (Namensschuldverschreibungen) (including N Covered Bonds) and Schuldschein loans.
Julia Schanz is an associate in our finance practice and a member of our securities and derivatives group. She focuses on advising banks, financial institutions and institutional investors on international debt capital market transactions, derivatives and structured products.
