He became responsible for UniCredit’s Southern European Securitisation team in 2011 and recently took over global responsibility for Securitisation, Receivables and Specialised Asset Financing within UniCredit.
In his career Paolo led the execution of ground-breaking transactions including the largest Italian covered bond programme (UniCredit OBG), the largest European RMBS (Cordusio RMBS 5) and the largest European market based NPL Securitisation (Project FINO). He has a summa cum laude degree in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and a master in Risk Management & Controll.

Reiner Ulrich

Reiner has been with UniCredit Bank AG since 1997. Before joining the Securitisation unit at UniCredit Bank AG, he worked in the short- and long-term and regulatory funding team within Treasury and liquidity risk management in the Asset-Liability management department of HVB Group.
Reiner started his banking career as a retail banker at a German Sparkasse followed by several years with the Sparkassen Association where he developed and supported the Treasury activities of the German Sparkassen.
Reiner holds a degree in economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich where he specialised in banking, finance, audit and M&A. He is also a licensed banker (Bankkaufmann).

UniCredit's Securitisation and Asset Backed Solutions Team offers clients the full range of securitisation products and structured products based on securitisation technique across different asset classes including, but not limited to loans, leases (including Residual Value) and trade receivables. The Securitisation and Asset Backed Solutions team, which is part of the Client Solutions division, focuses on structuring, placing and financing transactions for corporates and financial institutions in UniCredit Group’s core markets as well as for UniCredit Group. Backed by one of the largest teams across European banks, and operating via our three main hubs in Milan, Munich and London, we are eager to deliver customised solutions that meet our clients’ needs leveraging on our extensive track record but also on the heterogenous skillsets of our team members all enjoying decades of experience in the field.
The business model of Securitisation and Asset Backed Solutions for corporate clients and financial institutions is geared towards clients in UniCredit Group’s home markets and also to international companies.
The offered products range from private solutions (based on our balance-sheet capabilities but also on our ABCP Programme “Arabella Finance DAC”) to publicly placed transactions, focusing on funding driven solutions (with the main objective of diversifying funding sources at favorable conditions), to regulatory capital optimisation deals or transactions aimed at enhancing working capital needs (with/without asset de-recognition).
Due to the size of our ABCP Programme Arabella Finance DAC, which is one of the largest ABCP Programmes sponsored by a European bank (with committed lines in excess of EUR 6bn), in combination with our balance-sheet investments (for a combined total exposure in excess of EUR 12bn) we are one of the top underwriters in European public ABS transactions.
